Kevin Durant Over 24.5 Points (-102)

We'll kick off today's star props by targeting one of the biggest stars of all: Kevin Durant.

Durant is averaging 27.5 points per game and has scored over 24.5 points at a 67.2% rate. These -102 odds imply just a 50.5% probability, making this one of the best value props on today's slate.

Durant and the Phoenix Suns will take on the San Antonio Spurs tonight. Pace-up game alert.

The Suns play at the league's 15th-fastest pace, while the Spurs play at the third-fastest pace.

This season, Durant has played more than 26 minutes in 37 games against teams that play at a faster pace than the Suns. In this split, he is scoring over 24.5 points at a 70.3% clip.

San Antonio owns the league's eighth-worst defensive rating. They allow opposing forwards to score more points per game than any other team in the NBA.

Durant has scored 26, 28, and 25 points against San Antonio this season, and I'd expect him to have his way with this team once again.

FanDuel Research's projections anticipate Durant to score 26.9 points in this one. I'm surprised we can get this over at -102 odds.

Kawhi Leonard Over 5.5 Rebounds (-138)

The odds on this prop may seem lackluster, but Kawhi Leonard seems primed to grab over 5.5 boards tonight.

On the season, Leonard is averaging 6.0 rebounds per game. He has exceeded 5.5 rebounds in 59.4% of his games, which is a slightly higher mark than the 57.9% implied probability courtesy of these -138 odds.

Leonard will go up against the Indiana Pacers, the second-fastest team in the league.

More possessions means more rebound chances, which has forced Indiana to surrender the second-most rebounds per game to forwards.

Leonard has played in 12 games against teams that rank in the top 5 of most rebounds allowed to his position.

In this split, he has secured over 5.5 rebounds in 7 out of 12 games. If we account for only games in this sample where Leonard played at least 29 minutes, he is averaging 6.9 rebounds and exceeded 5.5 rebounds in five out of seven games.

Our projections also think Leonard is in a good spot to clean up the glass. They expect him to grab 6.6 rebounds this evening.

Tyrese Maxey Over 2.5 Made Threes (-140)

Tyrese Maxey is averaging 3.0 three-point makes (3PM) per game and seems set up to reach that average tonight.

For starters, Maxey has drained at least three triples in 61.3% of his games this season, so there is a bit of value in these -140 odds, which imply a 58.3% probability.

Factor in a matchup against the Sacramento Kings, and I like Maxey's chances to get going from downtown.

On the season, the Kings have let up the 14th-most 3PM per game. But since the start of 2024, they've been ceding the eighth-most 3PM per game.

Maxey has played in 15 games against teams that rank in the top 8 of most 3PM allowed per game. In this split, he is averaging 3.5 3PM per game and has eclipsed 2.5 made threes in 11 out of 15 games.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been playing at the second-slowest pace in the NBA over their last 15 games, but we could see an increase in possessions given that Sacramento plays at the 12th-fastest pace.

Our projections anticipate 3.0 3PM from Maxey in this one.
