Trae Waynes Injury Update
Taylor confirmed that Waynes suffered a hamstring injury, but the extent isn't known at this point. Waynes has battled hamstring problems throughout training camp, and it appears the issue isn't going away. That's troubling news for the Bengals with the regular season approaching.
Waynes missed the entire 2020 campaign with a pectoral injury, which put his debut with the team on hold after signing with them as a free agent. He's a disrupter in the secondary when healthy, as evidenced by the 42 pass breakups, 7 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles he racked up over his first five seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.
Waynes' hamstring will be worth keeping a close eye on throughout the year. His health is key to the team improving its defense in 2021.
Cincinnati is favored to miss the playoffs this season at -650 odds, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
