The Green Bay Packers' Super Bowl hopes came crashing down in the Divisional Round with a last-second loss. The early exit has prompted serious questions about this roster, which could look very different next year.

A recent Instagram post by standout EDGE Za'Darius Smith has added more fuel to the rebuild fire.

Za'Darius Smith Contract

Smith made a cryptically worded post to social media, captioned "Thank you GreenBay". It's certainly odd given his choice of words and the timing. A "thank you" is usually reserved for players paying respects to their former team when they move on, which could foreshadow Smith possibly leaving this offseason.

The former Baltimore Ravens draft pick has starred for the Packers since signing with the team in 2019. He earned two straight Pro Bowl selections to begin his tenure in Green Bay before a back injury limited him to just one game in 2021.

Smith has one year left on the four-year deal he signed with the Packers, but he has a dead cap hit just under $12.4 million in 2022, giving Green Bay a potential out if they strip the roster down. The seven-year pro would have a healthy market if he is made available in a trade.

Smith's future as a Packer is one of several up in the air and something to watch in the aftermath of Green Bay's postseason exit.
