VIDEO: Remembering When Deebo Samuel Made the Catch of the Year

Deebo Samuel had a tremendous rookie season. While he was seemingly making highlight reel plays week in and week out, he made his best play of the season in Week 11 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
The amount of concentration it takes to make this play is flat-out ridiculous. To even attempt to catch the ball, he has to wrap his arms around the defender's helmet. The ball is then juggled in the air a few times and Samuel manages to haul it in while withstanding a big hit from another defender.
Samuel only had 4 catches for 40 yards in this one, but he began to truly break out after this game. From Week 10 on, Samuel averaged 71.9 receiving yards per game, putting him on a 16-game pace to reach 1,150 yards on the year.

Perhaps, this circus catch helped the rookie build a little more confidence, as that dominant second-half run makes him look poised for a year-two breakout.
