Brewers vs. Dodgers Picks Today: MLB Best Bets and Props for NLCS Game 4

Brewers vs. Dodgers Game 4 Picks Today in Summary
- Milwaukee Brewers +1.5 (-172)
- Under 7.5 Runs (-110)
The Milwaukee Brewers are one win away from the World Series.
Milwaukee enters Thursday night's NLCS Game 4 with a commanding 3-0 series lead after taking the first three games from the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Brewers won Game 3 by a 6-2 score Wednesday, getting home runs from Jackson Chourio, Jake Bauers, and Garrett Mitchell.
Los Angeles will try to keep its season alive behind Tyler Glasnow, who finished the regular season with a 3.53 ERA and 98 strikeouts across 74 2/3 innings. Milwaukee's pitching plans are less settled, as the Brewers have yet to officially name a Game 4 starter.

Brewers vs Dodgers MLB Best Bets and Picks (Game 4)
Milwaukee Brewers +1.5 (-172)
Run Line
Regardless of who the Milwaukee Brewers end up starting, the Los Angeles Dodgers will likely have the pitching edge, but I still like the Brewers to cover as slight ‘dogs.
The Brewers are 3-0 in the series and have outscored Los Angeles 15-7 through three games. They've also gotten contributions throughout the lineup rather than relying on one or two hitters. Jackson Chourio went deep in Game 3, Jake Bauers supplied a two-run homer, and Garrett Mitchell added another solo shot.
Tyler Glasnow certainly has the stuff to give Los Angeles a chance to keep its season alive. He ended the regular season with a 34.0% strikeout rate and 2.94 SIERA. When he’s on and healthy, he’s one of the game’s best.
But Milwaukee has consistently found ways to manufacture offense in this series while Los Angeles has struggled to produce sustained rallies.
Also, there’s a chance the Brewers turn to lefty Kyle Harrison today. Harrison is a dang good pitcher who broke out in 2026 to the tune of a 3.39 SIERA and 27.9% K rate, although he hasn’t yet pitched in this season’s playoffs.
All in all, I like Milwaukee to cover.
Under 7.5 Runs (-110)
Total Runs
I'm also interested in the under.
As we just covered, Glasnow offers elite swing-and-miss upside and is going to be a tough matchup for Milwaukee’s offense.
The Brewers have not yet named a traditional starter, with the aforementioned Harrison, Dustin May and a bullpen game the likely options.
That uncertainty makes this bet somewhat dependent on Milwaukee's bullpen execution, but the Brewers have done an excellent job limiting a dangerous Los Angeles offense throughout the NLCS. The Dodgers have scored only seven total runs across the first three games.
While the under is a little scary given the home-run power on both sides, I think we’ll see a low-scoring game, and I trust the Brewers’ bullpen.

MLB Betting Frequently Asked Questions
What are MLB player prop bets?
MLB player prop bets are wagers on specific statistical outcomes tied to individual players during a game — not on which team wins or loses. You might bet on how many strikeouts a starting pitcher records, whether a shortstop gets a hit, or how many total bases an outfielder accumulates.
Because they are isolated to a single player's performance, props let you apply focused knowledge about matchups, recent form, and ballpark conditions rather than predicting the full game result.
What types of MLB player props are available?
FanDuel offers a wide menu of MLB props. The most common categories include:
- Pitcher strikeouts
- Batter hits
- Home runs
- Total bases
- RBIs
- Stolen bases
- Pitcher outs recorded
How do MLB player prop bet odds work?
MLB prop odds use the standard American (moneyline) format. A negative number shows how much you must wager to profit $100. A positive number shows how much a $100 bet returns in profit.
- -110 odds — bet $110 to win $100
- +130 odds — bet $100 to win $130
- -200 odds — bet $200 to win $100
What does "total bases" mean as a prop bet?
The total bases prop counts the bases a batter earns from hits in a single game:
- Single = 1 base
- Double = 2 bases
- Triple = 3 bases
- Home run = 4 bases
Walks, hit-by-pitches, and stolen bases do not count. A typical total bases line is set at 1.5 or 2.5. Betting over 1.5 means you need at least a double, or two singles.
