VIDEO: NFL Rookies' Hilarious Reactions to Their Madden Ratings in Real Time
By David Hayes

There's, perhaps, nothing more humbling than watching first-round NFL Draft picks' visions of their own level of greatness come crashing back to reality.
While almost every single one of these incredibly gifted athletes dominated at the collegiate level, the NFL is simply an entirely different animal. And the staff behind EA SPORTS' "Madden 20" video game has taken the liberty of informing these rookies that they're not quite as good as they might think they are ahead of their first seasons in the pros.

Not even the No. 1 overall pick from the 2019 NFL Draft, Arizona Cardinals' quarterback Kyler Murray, was exempt from a little dose of reality. The folks at Madden gave the former Heisman Trophy-winning QB and Oklahoma Sooners' star a 73 overall grade.
New York Giants' rookie QB and controversial No. 6 overall pick in this year's draft, Daniel Jones, seemed relatively unfazed by his 63 Madden rating. His new Giants' teammate and No. 171 overall pick, Darius Slayton, even received a higher rating than Jones at 68.
Former Kentucky Wildcat and current Pittsburgh Steelers RB, Benny Snell, stood out from the pack as the lone rookie who was delightfully surprised by his 69 overall rating. Snell was a fourth-round pick in the NFL Draft after a record-setting season with the Wildcats in 2018.

Regardless of which side of the surprise these guys fell on for these ratings, it's hard not to get a kick out of watching the raw emotions from each of their reactions.
