The tight end position is always hard to manage in fantasy football given its drop-off in production after the top names in the game. Scouring the waiver wire is important as finding that diamond in the rough is one way fantasy managers can gain a leg up on their opponent.

With that being said, here are the top-three streaming tight ends, rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues, to target in Week 4.

Streaming TE Fantasy Football Week 4

1. Dawson Knox, Buffalo Bills (11% Rostered)

Tight end Dawson Knox has seemingly flown under the radar a bit. The Bills' starter has become a steady target in the passing attack seeing 4.0 targets per game through the first three weeks of action. Knox caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Josh Allen last week and now faces a Texans' defense that has given up the fourth-most PPR fantasy points to opposing TEs so far. He has played in 72% of the offensive snaps in 2021 and is a player to target on the waiver wire. Knox has some upside moving forward.

2. Dalton Schultz, Dallas Cowboys (4% Rostered)

Talk about a surprising performance. Cowboys' tight end Dalton Schultz lit up the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3 to the tune of 6 receptions, 80 yards and 2 touchdowns. That volume alone should make him a must-add player this week. Schultz has posted a 93.3% catch percentage, which shows that quarterback Dak Prescott is getting him the ball in good spots. He is averaging 10.2 yards per reception and is part of an offense that averages 277.3 passing yards per game (No. 10 in NFL). Schultz is worth a speculative add.

3. Jared Cook, Los Angeles Chargers (49% Rostered)

Jared Cook is likely going to be on this list every week until he reaches the 50% rostered mark. The veteran pass-catcher has played in 62% of the offensive snaps for the Chargers this season and has seen 16 targets through three games. That level of production isn't a regular occurrence for tight ends in fantasy football. Cook draws a matchup against the Raiders in Week 4. Las Vegas has already allowed 17 receptions to opposing TEs this season, which is the 10th-highest mark in the league. Fantasy managers should pick Cook up before it's too late.
