This Wisconsin Football Flag Design Concept Looks Amazing
By David Hayes

Few sports fans are as loyal and passionate as those in college football. With the dedication to their teams and the passion seen in heated rivalries, there's a reason fan bases are often referred to as "nations."
With that kind of pride rampant throughout the most competitive college football programs, sometimes it feels like a flag is the only thing missing from these being real nations.

That being said, Reddit user u/toms47 made this leap by designing college football battle flags that could represent the 14 Big Ten universities on the gridiron, all of which are inspired by defining and iconic traits behind each school and its respective home.

Most Wisconsin fans should recognize the crossed sabres as a tribute to Camp Randall's original history as a Wisconsin Union Army training base for the Civil War prior to the football stadium being built over this location.
According to u/toms47, the white arrow aimed from left to right represents both the state of Wisconsin and the university's motto, "Forward." This motto is also represented by the arrows in the Badger football team's shoulder-pad uniform design.

Barring any potential scheduling delays brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Badgers are still set to return to action Friday, Sept. 4, eyeing a 2020 season-opening matchup against the Indiana Hoosiers at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin.
Even with a couple of months to go until this meeting, Wisconsin has already opened as an early 13.5-point favorite over the Hoosiers, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
