This Henry Ruggs III Stat Should Have Raiders Ready to Run Through a Wall

There's a lot to be excited about if you're a Las Vegas Raiders fan. A move to Sin City and a beautiful new stadium is enough to garner attention. But after going 7-9 last season and having a solid draft class, this team should be competitive this year. Headlining this rookie class is wide receiver Henry Ruggs III, who has always been a highlight reel.
For the University of Alabama, 38 percent of Ruggs' receptions went for 15+ yards, which is an absolutely incredible stat, leading college football.

Having a player that can stretch the defense is so useful, especially in this Raiders offense. Defenses have to respect the rookie, which opens up running lanes for second-year running back Josh Jacobs, and it opens up space underneath for last season's breakout tight end Darren Waller.
Ruggs could be the key piece that takes this Gruden offense to the next level. Last season, the Raiders averaged just 10.7 yards per passing completion, which was tied for the 13th-most in the league.
The big play ability of Ruggs should surely increase Derek Carr's passing stats this season, giving this offense much higher potential.
