Orlando Brown Jr. Makes First Comments After Ditching Chiefs in Free Agency

Orlando Brown Jr.'s time with the Kansas City Chiefs officially came to an end Wednesday night. The talented offensive tackle has decided to join the Cincinnati Bengals in free agency, going from one AFC contender to another.
Chiefs Kingdom isn't particularly happy to see Brown end up with a rival, but he explained his reasoning for the move after the deal was finalized.
Just spoke to new #Bengals LT Orlando Brown Jr.: "I'm super thankful for the opportunity to carry on my father's legacy and be a left tackle. It was important to be able to play that position and play for a winning team and a winning quarterback. Who Dey!"

Brown made it clear that remaining at left tackle was a huge part of signing with Cincy. He also pointed to the Bengals being a "winning team" with a "winning quarterback" as other reasons why he's excited about joining them.
Brown's comments are intriguing considering the situation he's leaving. Kansas City gave him the opportunity to play at LT after he primarily played on the right side for the Baltimore Ravens.
The four-time Pro Bowler also enjoyed plenty of winning in KC, going to back-to-back conference championships and even earning a Super Bowl ring this past season. He also got to protect the league's best QB in Patrick Mahomes.
So it appears Brown has downgraded in favor of a lucrative deal. Time will tell if that decision actually pays off.
