Well, Liverpool's 4-0 stunner over FC Barcelona in Tuesday's Champions League Semifinal is the reason why huge underdogs still go out there to play the game. It's also why people bet on them.

Despite facing even longer than 18/1 odds of advancing past FC Barcelona to the 2018-19 Champions League Final heading into the second leg of Tuesday's semifinal, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, Liverpool scored four goals to defeat Barcelona, 4-3, on aggregate.

In fact, Liverpool overcame this shocking +1850 shot of advancing with a 4-0 result that was listed as a 50/1 chance ahead of Tuesday's upset.

Barcelona crushed Liverpool, 3-0, in the first leg of this semifinal matchup back on May 1 at Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain. This 0-3 hole in aggregate goals sent Liverpool's +114 odds of advancing to the final round prior to last Wednesday's match plummeting all the way to +1850.

Liverpool now sets its sights on defeating the aggregate winner of Wednesday's semifinal matchup between Tottenham and Ajax, which is set to kick off at 3 p.m. EST.

Ajax currently leads this matchup, 1-0, on aggregate goals with -340 odds of advancing to the 2018-19 Champions League final, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
