As one of the highest-ranked free agent wide receivers across the board, Kenny Golladay will make headlines this offseason whenever it is he signs with an NFL team. Speculation continues to build as to where he will go, but his latest comments should have Cincinnati Bengals fans excited.
Golladay recently praised Bengals' quarterback Joe Burrow and even told the front office that he wants to play with the young signal-caller. Burrow is coming off a rookie season in which he threw for 2,688 yards and 13 touchdowns in 10 games started before he was injured.
Kenny Golladay Bengals
The Bengals already have a core group of young receivers including Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins, so adding Golladay to the mix would be insane. Boyd has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in two of the last three seasons, while Higgins posted 908 yards and 6 touchdowns during his rookie year.
Golladay was injured early on in the 2020 season, but had posted back-to-back 1,000+ yard seasons prior to that. He also has an impressive 16.8 yards per reception mark in his career. At just 27 years old, Golladay can become even better if he can control his drops and find the end zone more often.
The Bengals haven't posted a record over .500 since 2015, which is also the last time they made the NFL playoffs. Burrow seems to have provided a spark to the team and is the type of player free agents want to play with. Cincinnati would be smart to capitalize on that.
