NFL Prop Bets This Week: 3 Best NFL Player Props for Week 6

Week 6 Best NFL Prop Bets in Summary

  • Jonathan Taylor Under 89.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
  • Josh Allen Over 236.5 Passing Yards (-114)
  • Tucker Kraft Over 47.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

Sunday's Week 6 slate gives us plenty to work with in the NFL player prop market, beginning with an early-morning Texans-Jaguars matchup overseas and ending with Cowboys-Packers on Sunday Night Football.

For this week's picks, we'll target a mix of prop markets across Sunday’s games.

Using our NFL projections as a guide, here are three NFL player props I like for this week.

All NFL odds come from FanDuel Sportsbook and may change after this article is published.

NFL Player Prop Bets for This Week (Week 6)

Jonathan Taylor Under 89.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

Titans vs. Colts (1 p.m. ET)

Jonathan Taylor - Rushing Yds

Jonathan Taylor Under

Jonathan Taylor remains one of the NFL's true workhorse backs, but this matchup makes his rushing yards under worth a look..

Taylor has handled 101 carries through five games, the fourth-most in football, but he's turned those opportunities into only 398 yards. That's an average of 79.6 rushing yards per game and just 3.9 yards per carry.

At first glance, a matchup with the Tennessee Titans might look like a smash spot. In terms of potential game script, it is a good matchup. But the Titans’ run defense has quietly been one of the better parts of its team. The Titans have faced 161 rushing attempts — a huge workload — yet have allowed only 570 yards, or 3.5 yards per carry.

That combination is intriguing for an under. Taylor should receive plenty of carries, but if Tennessee can continue playing strong run D, Taylor should have a hard time getting to 90-plus yards.

Josh Allen Over 236.5 Passing Yards (-114)

Bills vs. Raiders (4:25 p.m. ET)

Josh Allen - Passing Yds

Josh Allen Over
Oct 18 8:26pm UTCMore odds in Sportsbook

Josh Allen has thrown for 1,249 yards over five games, averaging 249.8 yards per contest and an excellent 9.1 yards per attempt. His individual outputs have been 334, 248, 204, 253, and 210 yards.

The matchup at the Las Vegas Raiders gives him a path to another productive outing. Las Vegas has surrendered 1,182 passing yards through five games along with 11 passing touchdowns. Opposing passers have averaged 6.8 net yards per attempt against the Raiders, who rank 24th in passing yards allowed and 27th in passing touchdowns. They just got rocked by Drake Maye for 374 yards and four scores a week ago.

Allen has cleared this number in three of five games, and Sunday's line sits 11.3 yards below his season average. After Allen threw only 19 times against the Rams last week, a return to more typical passing volume would give him a strong chance to get back above 236.5 yards

Tucker Kraft Over 47.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

Cowboys at Packers (8:20 p.m. ET)

Tucker Kraft - Receiving Yds

Tucker Kraft Over
Oct 19 12:21am UTCMore odds in Sportsbook

Tucker Kraft has produced 20 catches for 212 yards on 29 targets through five games, good for 42.4 receiving yards per contest — slightly below this line. But his usage offers reasons for optimism.

Kraft ranks third on Green Bay with 29 targets, behind only Matthew Golden and Christian Watson.

He's also been dangerous with the ball in his hands. Kraft has accumulated 130 yards after the catch, or 6.5 YAC per reception, meaning 61.3% of his receiving production has come after the catch. That gives him more big-play potential than his relatively short 5.5-yard average depth of target might suggest.

The matchup with the Dallas Cowboys is a great one. Dallas has had major defensive issues overall. The Cowboys have allowed opponents to average 5.1 yards per rushing attempt while their defense entered this week ranked last in defensive EPA per play. They've also allowed 21 receptions for 165 yards and three touchdowns to tight ends over their first five games.

The game environment helps, too. Cowboys-Packers carries a total of 52.5 points along with a 1.5-point spread, giving this game gobs of shootout potential.

Kraft doesn't need a monster game get to the over, and in a friendly matchup with Dallas, I think Kraft can go over 47.5 yards.
