Kenny Golladay Injury Update Skyrockets Marvin Jones Week 13 Fantasy Outlook

Detroit Lions star wideout Kenny Golladay has struggled with injuries during the 2020 season, and he seems unable to shake a nagging hip injury that has kept him out since Week 8. With Golladay officially ruled out for Week 13 against the Chicago Bears, it provides a major boost to Marvin Jones Jr.'s fantasy outlook.

Golladay has only appeared in five games for the Lions this year, and he was forced out in the first half in his team's Week 8 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.
In his four full games before the injury, he averaged 7.0 targets per game and turned that into 5.0 receptions for 84.5 yards. He caught a touchdown pass in Weeks 3 and 4.
Marvin Jones Fantasy Outlook
Jones will be the team's No. 1 wideout again, something he's become accustomed to with Golladay missing the past four games.
In 11 games for the Lions, the receiver is averaging 6.3 targets, 3.9 receptions and 45.7 yards per contest. But he has bumped those numbers up to 8.0 targets, 5.3 receptions and 59.5 yards per game with Golladay sidelined during Weeks 9-12.
While Jones is averaging 11.2 fantasy points (PPR) per game, his numbers have elevated to 14.2 points in the past four games. He has seen double-digit targets twice in those games, including a season-high 12 targets last week against the Houston Texans.
It's clear that Matthew Stafford is relying on Jones with Golladay out, which is great news for fantasy managers. Jones is a solid starting WR option once again this week, even against a Bears defense that is allowing the second-fewest points per game to WRs (30.05) this season.
