After making a return to practice, it appeared Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay would possibly be ready to suit up in Week 11 against the Caroline Panthers. However, Golladay has been ruled out once again, signaling that Marvin Jones Jr. could be in for another solid fantasy week.
This season has been a struggle for Golladay in terms of health. He has only suited up in five games for the Lions, managing to turn 6.4 targets into 4 receptions and 67.6 yards per game.
Marvin Jones Fantasy Outlook
Golladay's recent absence has allowed Jones to take on a bigger role within the offense.
Jones has 4 TDs since Week 8, when Golladay was forced to leave in the first half due to his injury. Over the past 3 games, Jones is averaging 7 targets, hauling in 4.7 receptions for 59.3 yards per game.
It's clear that Jones' workload has benefitted with Golladay out of the lineup. The wideout is coming off of his biggest performance of the season against the Washington Football Team, totaling 23.6 fantasy points (PPR).
Jones is facing a Panther defense in Week 11 that ranks 13th in fantasy points (PPR) allowed to WRs this season (35.29), and the wideout should feature prominently as a WR1 option, especially with Golladay and Danny Amendola both out for Detroit this week.
