Buffalo Bills wide receiver John Brown hasn't seen the field since Week 10. While there was some optimism that he could return in Week 16, the team announced that he's been added to the COVID-reserve list, meaning he'll miss Monday Night Football.

This is a tough break for the Bills' offense, but it does give Gabriel Davis' fantasy outlook a real boost against the New England Patriots.

Gabriel Davis Fantasy Outlook

Davis has been pretty solid in Brown's absence. Since Week 12, he's turning 5.3 targets into 2.8 catches for 46.0 receiving yards per contest. He's also notched 3 touchdowns during that span.

However, he's been a bit of a boom-or-bust player in that time. He's had two games with 65-plus receiving yards and two games below 20.

Still, against a Patriots' defense that ranks bottom-10 in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA metrics, that's also playing without elite CB Stephon Gilmore, Davis is more likely to fall on the "boom" side of things in Week 16.

He's a risky WR3/4 option in Week 16, but he does have some real big-play potential.
