Jared Goff Joins Calvin Johnson as Lions to Accomplish Rare Feat

The Detroit Lions finally got their first win of the season in Week 13. Quarterback Jared Goff was instrumental in the victory, leading his team on a 14-play, 75-yard drive with under two minutes left that ended with a touchdown pass as time expired.
Now Goff has been recognized for his efforts, joining Calvin Johnson in accomplishing a rare feat for Lions players.
Jared Goff is NFC Offensive Player of the Week. If my quick research is correct, he's the first Lion to win it since Calvin Johnson in 2015

Goff was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Week 13. That makes him the first Detroit player to win that honor since Megatron did so in 2015.
That's good company for Goff to find himself in. And he deserved it with his play against the Minnesota Vikings, throwing for 296 yards and 3 TDs, including the game-winner.
Goff will look to channel the momentum from his POTW win into another great game on Sunday against the Denver Broncos. The Lions are 8-point road underdogs in that matchup, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
