If a team wants to succeed and win games in the NFL, it all starts with the offensive line. For the Denver Broncos, they may have found themselves a steal back in the 2017 draft. Offensive tackle Garett Bolles has become the most underrated lineman in the NFL.
Drafted No. 20 overall that year, Bolles has shined in what is his fourth season playing in every offensive snap so far. Despite the constant change at quarterback, Bolles has kept each one of them safe in the pocket. In fact, he has not given up a single sack all season.
Bolles worked at the fundamentals this past offseason and it seems to have paid off for the left tackle out of Utah. He was flagged for a penalty 43 times in 48 career games coming into this season, but has just 5 penalties in 10 games this year.
This Bronco is playing his best at the perfect time as well. He is currently on the last year of the four-year deal he signed back when he was drafted. Whether it is via a contract extension or through signing with a new team, Bolles is set to make a lot of money before next season starts as one of the top young lineman in the league.
For now, he'll look to stay consistent in a season in which the Broncos are struggling to stay in the AFC playoff race with a record of 4-6. If he is able to keep this level of excellence up, Bolles could easily be selected to the first Pro Bowl of his career.
