Bryan Edwards Fantasy Outlook Rising With Surprising Preseason Involvement

The Bryan Edwards hype train just keeps on chugging along as his preseason involvement with the Las Vegas Raiders has caused his fantasy outlook to brighten some more. The second-year wide receiver was held out of the team's first preseason game along with a majority of other key offensive starters.
I am not a part of your Bryan Edwards hive, BUT it’s telling Raiders purposely held him out Saturday with:

It certainly seems like Edwards is being treated as someone who will see a lot of playing time on the outside. The 22-year-old continues to ball out during training camp and has been impressing the coaching staff. He has also been getting constant support from teammates, including quarterback Derek Carr.
Edwards could be an underrated WR option from a fantasy football perspective after he racked up 193 yards and 1 touchdown on 11 receptions during his rookie year. His only true competition for snaps seems to be veteran John Brown, who is now on his fourth team in the last five seasons.
The former South Carolina Gamecock has proven he has an ability to come down with contested catches and could be a red zone monster for the Raiders. In fact, he is the only Raiders' wide receiver over six-feet tall, which could work in his favor as the biggest passing option other than tight end Darren Waller.
The price it costs to draft Edwards is another major benefit to his fantasy outlook. The young wideout has an average draft position of No. 214 overall and No. 74 amongst WRs in PPR leagues, according to FantasyPros. Grabbing him the last few rounds as a bench flier would be a smart strategy.
Don't be shocked if Edwards becomes a top target in an offense that averaged 263.6 passing yards per game in 2020 (No. 8 in NFL). He checks in at No. 175 overall in The Duel's 2021 fantasy football rankings.
