Browns News: Cleveland Get Terrible Cody Parkey Injury Update

As the NFL Preseason winds down, teams across the league now turn their attention towards ensuring the full health of their Week 1 roster. That's clearly true for the Cleveland Browns, who were dealt a terrible bit of injury news on Monday.
Returning kicker Cody Parkey is headed to the injured reserved list with a quad injury and will now potentially miss the entirety of the 2021 campaign. Even if Parkey is able to return to full strength, the roster move disallows him from kicking for the Browns this season.
#Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Greedy Williams is day to day with his groin.

Big news- Cody Parkey to IR with his quad injury.
Cody Parkey Injury Update
Parkey was a reliable special teams option for the Browns last season. In his second stint in Cleveland, the 29-year-old kicker connected on 19-of-22 field goal attempts, including 10-for-11 from 40+ yards.
The seven-year NFL veteran also connected 43-of-47 extra point attempts, which is impressive given the harsh kicking conditions of FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland. With the injury, Chase McLaughlin will likely take over full-time kicking duties for the Browns.
Currently, Cleveland owns +1600 odds to win Super Bowl 56, which ranks as the eighth-best odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
