After being out of the lineup for over a week with a blister on his finger, Atlanta Braves left-handed starter Max Fried was reinstated from the injured list on Wednesday. The Braves won't waste any time when it comes to getting him back on the mound as the veteran lefty will make his 12th start of the season against the New York Mets at 7:20 p.m. EST.
Fried had a 4-4 record in 11 starts with a 4.21 ERA before landing on the injured list back on June 22.

Max Fried Injury Update
Losers of four of their last six games, the Braves could use Fried to help them bet back on track as they chase the Mets in the NL East. Considering how Atlanta already dropped the opening contest of their three-game series on Tuesday, a win on Wednesday is crucial.
The good news is that Fried has pitched fairly well against the Mets throughout his career. The 2020 Gold Glove winner has faced the Mets 14 times in his career, pitching to a 3-2 record with a 2.73 ERA while striking out 60 batters in 56.0 innings pitched.
The Braves are entering their matchup against the Mets as the -162 favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. A lot of things will have to happen for the Braves to turn their fortunes around and it could all start with however Fried performs on Wednesday.
