The NFL free-agent frenzy started off hot, but has since slowed down and a number of big name free agents remain unsigned. One of them is veteran NFL cornerback Quinton Dunbar, who put together a solid 2020 season racking up 30 tackles, 5 pass breakups and 1 interception in 6 games played.

Dunbar dealt with a knee injury that kept him out for the majority of last season, but he is likely motivated to come back stronger and ready to contribute to a contending team. With that in mind, here are three of the best remaining free-agent destinations for Dunbar.

3. Seattle Seahawks

A reunion here would make a lot of sense between the Seahawks and Dunbar. The team recently signed Ahkello Witherspoon to replace starter Shaquill Griffin, but still do not have much depth at the position. Bringing back Dunbar on a short-term prove-it type deal would allow the team to see what kind of player he really is. It wouldn't cost the team a ton of money and head coach Pete Carroll knows how important it is to have a strong defense in today's NFL. Dunbar could end up being a steal.

2. Buffalo Bills

The Bills made an appearance in the AFC Championship game last season due to a balanced defense. While cornerback Tre'Davious White shined all season, teammate Levi Wallace proved to be most effective in a platoon role with veteran Josh Norman. Signing Dunbar to fill that role left by Norman would not be a bad idea for the Bills. Dunbar has had at least 8 pass breakups in three of the last four seasons and has proven to be dependable in pass coverage. Adding him to the mix would only improve the defense.

1. Dallas Cowboys

It is no secret that the Cowboys have struggled to put together a reliable secondary over the last few seasons. In fact, they tied for the most 25+ yard touchdowns given up in 2020. Signing Dunbar would give the team a veteran NFL player that knows how to get the job done. If the Cowboys draft cornerback, he could also act as a mentor and split snaps if need be. It wouldn't cost too much to bring in Dunbar and he would help Dallas compete for an NFC East title next season.
