The Arizona Coyotes will be without a crucial part of their offense for a substantial amount of time. Conor Garland is being considered week-to-week after sustaining a lower-body injury at practice on Tuesday.
Conor Garland Injury Update
Garland leads the Yotes in assists with 22 in 45 games and is also tied for second on the team in points. The 25-year-old missed Arizona's 4-1 setback to the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday, and their already fading playoff chances could take a hit if Garland misses a few weeks. Young forward Clayton Keller and blueliner Jakob Chychrun will need to step up and are worth looks at FanDuel for Arizona's next game on Saturday against the Kings. The Coyotes have dropped seven of their past eight games and are clinging to the West's final playoff spot.
Following Wednesday's loss, Arizona is a point ahead of the Blues, but St. Louis has four games in hand. FanDuel Sportsbook has them at +160 to make the playoffs and -220 to miss the postseason. Arizona has made it past the regular season just once in eight seasons, and that was last year's COVID shortened playoff format.
