Alabama has become something of a quarterback factory in recent years. Tua Taogvailoa was a Heisman contender and a top-five pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. His replacement Mac Jones looks poised to follow in his footsteps come late April.
Now, quarterback Bryce Young appears to be next in line. After backing up Jones as a freshman, Young will likely start for the Crimson Tide in 2021. And FanDuel Sportsbook's Heisman odds make it look like he'll do pretty well as the team's full-time starter.
Bryce Young Heisman Odds
Young (+1000) currently has the fourth-best odds to take home the hardware in 2021, trailing only Spencer Rattler (+650), JT Daniels (+800) and D.J. Uiagalelei (+900). He's right ahead of notable contenders in Sam Howell (+1400) and D'Eriq King (+1600).
After Young's stellar performance in Alabama's annual Spring Game, it's not hard to see why he's generating all this buzz. Young completed 25-of-44 passes for 333 yards with 1 touchdown to 0 interceptions.
If that showing was any indication, Young looks poised to be the next great Crimson Tide quarterback.
