Those who say football isn't a year-round sport are most likely unfamiliar with future bets, such as the opening odds to win the 2020 College Football Playoff, via FanDuel Sportsbook

It is never too early to start talking about college football's next season, especially with the preseason FPI Top-10 poll released this Thursday.

There isn't much surprise at the top, as the 2019 CFP National Champion Clemson Tigers hold the preseason's opening No. 1 spot. Three SEC teams follow the Tigers with Alabama, Georgia, and LSU filling out the Top 4.

While you can debate these at the water cooler all summer long, the future odds to win it all in 2020, via FanDuel Sportsbooktell a completely different story than the FPI.

Despite an ACC team winning last season, FanDuel Sportsbook still projects CFP dominance from the SEC with four teams cracking the Top-10 list of best odds to win the National Championship.

One surprising team is Ohio State, who isn't even in the Top-10 rankings based on the FPI. However, the oddsmakers are clearly confident in the program's ability to overcome the loss of star QB Dwayne Haskins and long-time head coach Urban Meyer, giving the Buckeyes the fourth-best odds to win it all next season.

Clemson and Alabama still remain heavy favorites to win the title game, with the Crimson Tide boasting a small edge. But when it comes to college football, one thing is for sure, we should be looking for at least one major surprise team to fall from or sneak into the final Top-10 rankings.
