We finally know how much one of the most abrasive college football side-line trophies cost. Or at least how much the newest one set them back.

We're talking about Miami's turnover chain, of course, and good lord is it expensive.

The new two-pound, 3,100-stone chain weighs in at a pricey $98,456.

For those of you that would love a little more perspective on that kind of price tag, Miami's new turnover chain costs more than a brand new, 2019 Porsche 911 turbo.

Furthermore, for the same price as this new sideline circus of a distraction, you could also pay more than two semesters of Miami football player's full out-of-state tuition, boarding, books, and total attendance fees.

Some people love it – the majority of those people being ones draped in green and orange with permanent residences in a Miami area code – and others hate it, namely Wisconsin football head coach Paul Chryst.

Here's Chryst letting someone else on the other of his headset know how he truly feels about it during last year's Orange Bowl.

Regardless of which side of the turnover chain fence you stand on, a near six-figure price tag for a bunch of rocks and some gold to wear around your neck as a reward for an amateur athlete making a great play is a bizarre concept on its face.
