EPL Predictions: Premier League Picks
Declan Rice to Score or Assist (-115)
Arsenal vs. Hull — Saturday, 10:00 a.m. ET
Arsenal have been one of the Premier League's most impressive teams this season, and Declan Rice has played an important role in their success. The midfielder enters Matchweek 10 with five league assists in nine appearances, tied for the team lead in chances created (17).
Rice's involvement in Arsenal's attack makes him an appealing candidate to record a goal or assist against Hull City. He assisted Kai Havertz's winner against Liverpool last weekend and has averaged nearly 84 minutes per Premier League appearance this season.
His set-piece responsibilities add another dimension to this wager. Rice has taken a team-high 23 corners and delivered six crosses from free kicks this season, giving him additional opportunities to create scoring chances. Although all five of his league assists have come from open play, his dead-ball duties provide another avenue to contribute.
Arsenal have won all four of their home league matches this season, scoring nine goals in those contests. With Hull winless in seven consecutive Premier League matches, Rice should have plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action.
Fulham vs. Newcastle Draw (+260)
Fulham vs. Newcastle United — Saturday, 10:00 a.m. ET
Neither Fulham nor Newcastle have been particularly convincing through the opening nine matchweeks, making the draw an interesting option at +260.
Fulham enter this matchup with nine points from nine matches while Newcastle have accumulated 11 points. The Cottagers have been difficult to break down recently, recording consecutive 1-0 victories over Hull City and Coventry before drawing 1-1 with Aston Villa last weekend.
Newcastle's inconsistent attacking production could make it difficult for the Magpies to pull away. They've scored 12 league goals this season and have been held scoreless in two of their past three Premier League outings, including Monday's 1-0 home defeat to Everton.
Fulham haven't been especially prolific themselves, scoring nine goals through nine matches. That combination creates the potential for a tightly contested, relatively low-scoring affair, which could lead to a draw.
Sunderland Moneyline (+250)
Sunderland vs. Chelsea — Sunday, 9:00 a.m. ET
Sunderland enter Sunday's matchup with Chelsea as sizable underdogs, but there's some appeal to backing the Black Cats at +250.
It's admittedly a risky wager given Sunderland's difficult start to the season. They've collected just five points through nine league matches and are coming off a 3-1 defeat to Coventry. However, there are reasons to believe they can make life difficult for Chelsea at the Stadium of Light.
For starters, Sunderland defeated Chelsea twice during the 2025-26 Premier League campaign, including a 2-1 home victory in May. That recent success could provide some confidence as they prepare for another meeting.
Chelsea have also been inconsistent despite sitting fourth in the table. The Blues have already suffered three league defeats, including a 2-0 home loss to Tottenham in Matchweek 8.
Sunderland's biggest concern is their attacking production. The Black Cats have failed to score in three of their four home league matches this season, so they'll need a significantly better attacking performance to pull off the upset.
Still, Sunderland have shown an ability to frustrate Chelsea in recent meetings, and I think the market is placing a little too much confidence in a Chelsea team that is hard to trust.
Soccer Betting FAQ
What is a moneyline bet in soccer?
A moneyline bet is a wager on which team will win the match. Because soccer matches can end in a draw, most moneyline markets include three options: the home team, the away team, or a draw.
What does “draw no bet” mean?
Draw no bet removes the draw as a losing outcome. If the match ends tied, your wager is refunded. If your team wins, the bet wins.
What is a soccer total?
A total is a bet on how many combined goals will be scored in a match. For example, an Over 2.5 Goals bet wins if at least three goals are scored.
What does “both teams to score” mean?
Both Teams to Score, often abbreviated BTTS, is a wager on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
