Ravens expecting "a tremendous year" from Rashod Bateman
Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken spoke highly of former first round pick wide receiver Rashod Bateman, going so far as to say he expects "a tremendous year out of him."
What It Means
Monken described how Bateman's 2023 season fell off the rails between injuries and the offseason signing of Odell Beckham, which eventually led to both players splitting reps as the team's primary X receiver. The offensive coordinator added that Bateman "really came on" at the end of the year, though, and that he's already seeing growth from the former Minnesota Golden Gophers wideout this offseason.
It sounds like the team is more committed to giving Bateman a real chance at an every-down job in 2024. How fantasy-relevant that role can be will depend on whether Bateman can carve out enough targets while playing alongside All-Pro tight end Mark Andrews and explosive playmaker Zay Flowers.
