The Patriots added depth to their tight end group by signing a player with six years of experience.

Despite not having played in recent seasons, the player brings a solid frame at 6'4' and 252 pounds. His last games played came in the 2022 season with the Packers.

Kader Kohou will be sidelined for the 2025-26 season due to a knee injury. Last season, Kohou played in 15 games for the Miami Dolphins, recording 33 solo tackles and 12 assisted tackles.

Kohou played 708 defensive snaps and registered 2 interceptions. The Miami Dolphins will begin their season against the Indianapolis Colts on September 7, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Folk, who has 17 years of experience and is 40 years old, previously played for the Tennessee Titans in 2024, where he participated in 14 out of 17 games. In that season, Folk was 21-22 on field goals for a 95.4% clip.

Matthew, a cornerback, has four years of experience and is 28 years old. He previously played college football at Valdosta State and stands 6'2' tall, weighing 197 pounds. In 2024, Matthew did not play any games, but he has played in 18 games and recorded 20 total tackles over his career. All 18 games were played with the Arizona Cardinals.

Last season, he contributed 172 rushing yards and 22 receiving yards for the Seattle Seahawks. As training camp progresses, the team will have to adjust without his presence on the field.

The 31-year-old defensive tackle has seven years of experience in the NFL. Previously, he played for the Baltimore Ravens, where he participated in three games & had just three total tackles during the 2024 season.

Eli Apple has signed with the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, July 27, 2025. The cornerback, who played for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2024, recorded just two total tackles last season.

Bryce Ford-Wheaton of the New York Giants will not participate in the 2025-2026 season due to a knee injury involving a torn achilles. The injury report was released on July 27, 2025.

Starling Thomas V, cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals, will not participate in the 2025-2026 season due to a knee injury. He tore his ACL, which is keeping him out of action. Last season, he played in 17 games and had a total of 47 tackles.

Treylon Burks, the wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans, is sidelined with a fractured collarbone. This injury will keep him out of the start of the 2025-26 season. Last season, Burks recorded 34 receiving yards on 4 receptions, but he did not score any touchdowns.
