NBA DFS Picks for Today

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, PG, Thunder ($9,900)

Matchup: vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is an excellent high-salary option to build around on Wednesday, especially with the Oklahoma City Thunder dealing with several key injuries. The reigning MVP erupted for 35 points in Monday's 117-112 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, attempting a whopping 35 shots while playing 39 minutes. With Oklahoma City missing several important offensive contributors, Gilgeous-Alexander should continue to shoulder an enormous offensive workload. His combination of scoring volume, efficiency, and opportunities to contribute assists makes him one of the slate's premier high-salary options.

Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Knicks ($8,400)

Matchup: vs. Chicago Bulls

Karl-Anthony Towns has been remarkably consistent for the New York Knicks, opening the season with seven consecutive double-doubles. Wednesday's matchup against the Chicago Bulls is particularly appealing. Chicago ranks 29th in defensive efficiency and plays at the NBA's fastest pace, creating additional possessions and opportunities for KAT to amass DFS production. With Towns contributing in multiple statistical categories and facing a favorable opponent, he can have a big game.

Zion Williamson, PF, Pelicans ($7,400)

Matchup: vs. Utah Jazz

Zion Williamson is an appealing mid-range option for Wednesday's matchup against the Utah Jazz. The New Orleans Pelicans’ star is averaging 21.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists while shooting an impressive 63.6% from the field. Williamson enters Wednesday coming off a 25-point, 11-rebound performance against Memphis, demonstrating his ability to produce strong fantasy totals when he's active on the glass. Utah ranks near the bottom of the league in defensive efficiency, and both teams play at a fast pace, making this one of the slate's better environments for game stacks.

Onyeka Okongwu, C, Hawks ($6,000)

Matchup: at Washington Wizards

Onyeka Okongwu has emerged as an attractive DFS option for the Atlanta Hawks, and Wednesday's matchup with the Washington Wizards should provide another opportunity for a productive outing. The big man has averaged approximately 34.3 FanDuel points over his last three games while remaining Atlanta's primary option at center. Washington was an excellent matchup for opposing centers last season, and Okongwu averaged 41 FanDuel points across his last three meetings with the Wizards. There’s also a chance Atlanta is without Jalen Johnson tonight, which could open up more offensive workload for everyone else. With the potential for substantial minutes, strong rebounding production, and defensive statistics, Okongwu offers an intriguing combination of floor and upside at $6,000.

Day'Ron Sharpe, C, Nets ($5,000)

Matchup: vs. Charlotte Hornets

Day'Ron Sharpe offers considerable upside at a modest salary for the Brooklyn Nets against the Charlotte Hornets. Sharpe has historically been a strong per-minute DFS producer, averaging approximately 1.3 fantasy points per minute throughout his career. He generated 34.6 FanDuel points in 25 minutes two games ago, demonstrating his ability to deliver when given adequate playing time. His minutes can be inconsistent, but a favorable matchup against a Charlotte team that struggled to defend opposing centers last season makes him an appealing value option.

Aday Mara, C, Thunder ($4,200)

Matchup: vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

Aday Mara is one of Wednesday's better low-salary options as the Thunder continue to deal with injuries in their frontcourt. The rookie center has averaged 9.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks over his last two games while playing nearly 24 minutes per contest. Mara has generated 32.3 and 21.8 FanDuel points in those outings, showcasing his ability to contribute through rebounding and defensive statistics. With an opportunity to maintain an expanded role against Cleveland’s size, Mara doesn't need an enormous scoring performance to return strong value at his $4,200 salary.
