Verdict

LISA LASS (5) never stopped trying in bog conditions first-up at Warrnambool. Is sure to have come on from that and will appreciate the rise in trip, though will need a smart steer from a wide draw. With even luck she'll be fighting out the finish. ROYAL INFERENCE (1) made the perfect return at Ararat when getting the bob. Drawn much kinder second-up and with added fitness he can make it two on the bounce. RHINESTONE RORY (6) took 38 starts to break his maiden but he did it in style last start when leading all the way at Bordertown. Full of confidence now and can keep the ball rolling. SCENIC HOST (9) was no match for an impressive winner last time over the 1 ¼m but still did a good job to hold second. Drops back to a preferred trip and is a winner here. In the mix. TIMEONLEES (7) returns an strips fitter for trio of hitouts. Peaks measure right-up, though the draw will test Milnes.
