Verdict

NEW YORK SCANDAL (3) drifted back then made late ground to finish fourth when first up from a spell last start over 6f at Cranbourne. Generally runs well second-up and will appreciate the drop in grade. SYMPHONITE (5) made progress last time out, finishing 2.25 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 6 ½f at Geelong after being in the firing line on the bend. This is a nice progression. BREAK THE TABOO (1) has been a model of consistency this preparation, putting together three runs that would be competitive here. Just needs to overcome the wide gate to be a force again. VORES (6) ran a nice race in 0-62 grade last time out, so back in grade here and should have come on fitness-wise. MISS REMSKI (9) handy enough return in similar race to this. Hasn't drawn as well here, but is fitter and much better suited by the step up to 6 ½f.
