THUNDERANLIGHTNING (4) missed the placings two runs back then was never in contention last start when 3 lengths away in fifth over 6f at Naracoorte but they were in much better races than this and he should be ready to go with those runs under the belt. TRIOMPHE (5) is a genuine type with four minor placings from six starts this prep. A long neck from the winner in second at the latest outing over 7f at Horsham. Looks well placed so expect another big run. SHOUT ME (3) was down the track last start, which was in contrast to the two good seconds earlier in the prep, so he deserves another chance despite the wide gate. PORT LOUIS (1) seems to lack the killer punch required to win but has run top four at his past five starts so he's again a must for exotics. ROYAL INFERENCE (8) lost all form towards the end of last prep, but looks to have been well-served by the break judging by a recent jumpout win and he's won first-up in the past.
