GRACCONI (3) knuckled down strongly to get within a neck of the winner in second last start over 7f at Echuca on debut. Can only be better for that experience, and the fitness from it, and strikes a winnable race at a more suitable distance. ADIRA RIVER (7) is out of the Caulfield Cup winner Jameka who finished fifth, beaten 4 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 7f at Pakenham. Not a heap of depth here and should only be better suited at this trip. HIGH ALTITUDE (9) got back into the placings last start, which was the fourth run from a spell, so at peak fitness now and can go on with it. The two runs back for STORMING CAMELOT (6) have both been over 6 ½f, which is short of his best, so with them out of the way he can play a bigger role at 1m. NIKEPHOROS (4) has had his fair share of chances and was well beaten last start, but is worth another chance going off the first-up effort when beaten two lengths over 6f.
