LE CARDINAL (12) scored by a neck at this track over 1 5/16m last start at his first run back from a spell. No favours expected from this draw. It doesn't get any easier but he is fitter for that last hit-out and capable of another big performance. BETTORPATCHMEUP (3) scored at Hamilton three runs ago. Returned to something like that form last time out when third over 1 5/16m at this track, beaten 2.75 metres. No excuses from this advantageous draw. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is capable of taking this out. KEAYANG HUNGRY (8) comes right into contention after scoring last start by 23 metres at Mt Gambier over 1 5/16m afetr he led at the bell. ROBLEN RANGER (10) is better than his last-start seventh over 1 5/16m at Maryborough would suggest and is worth another chance.
