TAVROS (1) settled next to last then unleashed powerfully to win impressively over 1 ¹/16m at Scone (metro) nine days ago. Draws a single-figure gate for the first time this prep. Can settle a couple of pairs closer this time and despite a big weight should be too strong for this field. DELRICO (9) last appeared on 22 April when he found the line well to be beaten under two lengths over 1 ¼m at Doomben. Racing well without looking a winner of late. Should be thereabouts regardless of the 32-day gap between runs. SONOFDEC (4) travelled at the tail of a small field and had trouble accelerating under a big weight over 7f at Kembla recently. Goes well third-up and getting out to the mile is a big help. SMOKE ON THE WATER (12) won a BM58 over 7 ½f at Muswellbrook last start in a form reversal. Tougher this time but he is an each-way hope down in the weights. GREEN RUN (8) backs up a week after a fair effort in the 1m Parkes Cup. One for the exotics.
