Verdict

WHAT A GENT (6) hit the front in the straight and looked a chance before finding one better in the closing stages over 6 ½f at Illawarra Grange last start. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and from a nice gate makes plenty of appeal. FINED FOR SPEEDING (2) continues to race well without winning. Started favourite when an eye-catching third over this distance at Tamworth last time out. Freshened up since that run a month ago. Right in contention. PINERO (11) dropped back sharply in distance but ran another big race last start when beaten under a length over 6 ½f at Narromine. Drawn to advantage and should be thereabouts again. FORTHEO (3) has been a bit plain at his last couple but can improve with the blinkers going back on. DAISY DUCK (9) ran a better race when ridden in the lead last start at Mudgee. Capable of another cheeky run.
