College Football Player Props for This Week

Isaiah Horton Over 45.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

Kentucky vs. Texas A&M (3:30 p.m. ET)

Horton has been the Texas A&M Aggies‘ most productive receiving threat through two games, and his involvement has been consistent: he has 7 receptions on 15 targets for 109 yards and 3 touchdowns. That 7.5 targets-per-game workload gives him a solid opportunity to clear this yardage line versus the Kentucky Wildcats.

The matchup also sets up well for volume.

Texas A&M enters as a 16.5-point favorite in a game with a 50.5-point total, so the Aggies are expected to generate plenty of offensive possessions. We just saw UK let up 45 points to Alabama last week, and a road game in College Station is a very difficult matchup.

With Horton already accounting for 15 of Marcel Reed's 55 attempts, I like his chances of getting to at least 46 receiving yards even if the Aggies go with a run-heavy attack later in the game.

John Mateer Under 239.5 Passing Yards (-114)

Oklahoma vs. New Mexico (7:30 p.m. ET)

Mateer has thrown for 414 yards through two games — only 207 yards per game — and he enters this matchup after a 189-yard passing day in a loss at Michigan.

This week, Mateer is taking on the New Mexico Lobos. The Oklahoma Sooners are 21.5-point favorites, which could lead to the Sooners deploying a run-heavy game plan in the second half.

Mateer has thrown for 225 and 189 yards in his two games this season, and I think this line is just a bit too high.

Kewan Lacy 80+ Rushing Yards (-115)

LSU vs. Ole Miss (7:30 p.m. ET)

Kewan Lacy to run for at least 80 yards is my favorite prop on the Saturday board for the LSU Tigers‘ trip to the Mississippi Rebels.

Lacy is a huge piece of the Rebels’ offensive attack, and the matchup sets up well for a shootout. LSU-Ole Miss carries a 57.5-point total, giving this game considerable scoring potential.

A year ago, Lacy averaged 104.5 rushing yards per game, and he should be primed for a big workload after carrying the rock only 13 times last week in Ole Miss’ 41-9 win.
