5 College Basketball Games to Watch This Weekend: Tennessee Visits Alabama

Who’s ready for a great weekend?

Check below for our list of five games to watch this weekend in college basketball.

In no particular order:

College Basketball Games to Watch

Florida at South Carolina (Saturday)

These two teams aren't getting as much attention in the SEC as Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Auburn, but they're both plenty capable. The Gators are an extremely potent offensive team while South Carolina plays deliberate, methodical basketball. This is a fascinating contrast of styles in Columbia.

Marquette at Creighton (Saturday)

Just another day in the Big East! Both of these teams are capable of advancing deep into the NCAA Tournament. This game should be tailor made for Kam Jones, who's averaging 28.3 points in the Golden Eagles' last three games. Marquette won the first meeting between these two teams earlier this season in Milwaukee.

Per the Final Four odds at FanDuel Sportsbook, Marquette is +430 to make the Final Four while Creighton is +650.

Tennessee at Alabama (Saturday)

First place in the SEC standings is on the line when the Vols head south to Tuscaloosa. Expect plenty of offense. Alabama is averaging 101 points across its last five games while Tennessee is averaging 86 points in its past five. Keep an eye on Dalton Knecht, who went for 39 points in the Vols' win over Auburn on Wednesday.

As of Thursday, the Vols carry -125 odds to win the SEC while 'Bama sits at -105.

Gonzaga at Saint Mary's (Saturday)

Will the Bulldogs have to win the WCC Tournament to make the NCAA Tournament? It all depends on how they perform on Saturday night in Moraga. If Gonzaga has road wins on its resume against Kentucky and Saint Mary's, it's going to be awfully tough for the Bulldogs to not earn an at-large berth to March Madness.

Seton Hall at UConn (Sunday)

This one is personal for Dan Hurley and the Huskies, who lost to the Pirates earlier this season in Newark. UConn should be extremely fresh after an eight-day layoff and is eyeing its first outright Big East regular season title since the 2001-02 season.

UConn is the current title favorite, listed at +550 odds to win the college basketball national championship.
