Vikings Sign Former Super Bowl Champion Cornerback

The Minnesota Vikings have been in the market for cornerbacks throughout the entire offseason. Last year, Minnesota had a bottom-10 pass defense that surrendered 258.8 yards per game through the air.
Minnesota has already addressed the secondary by adding eight-time Pro Bowl selection Patrick Peterson from the Arizona Cardinals. The Vikings made another move to add a veteran presence to the secondary on Friday night by signing former Super Bowl Champion Bashaud Breeland.

Bashaud Breeland Vikings
Breeland comes over to Minnesota after a pair of highly successful seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. In that span, Breeland made back-to-back Super Bowl appearances including a championship two years ago. He's been an above-average corner during his time in Kansas City and earned a 67.7 rating from ProFootballFocus last season.
In 27 career games with the Chiefs, Breeland owns four interceptions, 17 passes defended and 86 combined tackles. The seven-year NFL veteran will join Mackensie Alexander, Kris Boyd, Peterson and Harrison Hand in the revamped Vikings secondary next season.
Currently, Minnesota owns favorable +270 odds to win the NFC North in 2021, according to the latest NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook. A revamped secondary is sure to help the Vikings make some noise next season.
