NFL Week 5 Player Prop Bets
Greg Dulcich Over 2.5 Receptions (-136)
Bengals vs. Dolphins (1 p.m. ET)
Greg Dulcich - Total Receptions
The Cincinnati Bengals are getting torched by tight ends this season, and I like Greg Dulcich to make at least three catches against Cincy.
For the season, the Bengals are allowing per-game averages of 7.7 catches and 102.3 receiving yards to TEs. They’re basically turning every tight end they face into Trey McBride and Brock Bowers.
A week ago, Brenton Strange tagged Cincy for seven receptions and 95 yards. In Week 2, Dalton Schultz put up 12 catches for 140 yards against the Bengals.
Dulcich went without a target last week, so he’s got a volatile role. With that said, he’s played at least 70% of the snaps in two games this season and just saw seven targets the game prior to the Week 4 goose egg.
Not only is this a good matchup for Dulcich, but the Bengals’ D also represents Miami's most favorable matchup this season. That could help the Dolphins' offense perform better than it has through four weeks.
All in all, I think Dulcich can make at least three catches, and this is my favorite prop bet for Week 5.
Jeremiyah Love Over 63.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards (-113)
Lions vs. Cardinals (4:25 p.m. ET)
Jeremiyah Love - Rushing + Receiving Yds
Although Jeremiyah Love‘s workload has fluctuated this year, I think the stage is set for him to have a big day in Week 5.
The matchup has a lot to do with it as the Arizona Cardinals-Detroit Lions clash has gobs of shootout potential, with the over/under at 54.5 points. The Lions have been bad on defense this season, allowing the sixth-most yards per play (5.9), and this game being indoors only helps the offensive environment.
Love seemingly had his breakout game in Week 3, playing a season-best 63% of the snaps and handling 21 carries with five targets en route to 109 total yards. He looked lethal and healthy. The Cards then turned around and gave Love 15 touches (14 carries, 1 catch) with a 45% snap rate in Week 4.
Last week’s usage adds some volatility to this bet, but it might have created a good buy-low window heading into a sublime matchup. Plus, Love still ran for 63 yards a week ago, though he finished with -8 receiving yards.
With game-breaking ability on the ground and as a pass-catcher, Love can clear this line against one of the NFL’s worst defenses.
Derrick Henry Under 83.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
Ravens vs. Falcons (8:20 p.m. ET)
Derrick Henry - Rushing Yds
While the Atlanta Falcons haven’t been an amazing defense overall, they’re tough on the run, and that puts me on Derrick Henry‘s rushing under.
Through four weeks, Atlanta has surrendered just 48.5 rushing yards per game to RBs, the second-lowest clip. They’ve faced only one true bell-cow back, and it was Chuba Hubbard, who they held to 53 rushing yards.
Henry is averaging 93.5 rushing yards per game, but that is skewed by a 144-yard day in Week 1. He’s run for 68, 89 and 73 yards in his other three games.
The Baltimore Ravens‘ offense should be less effective overall without Lamar Jackson, allowing Atlanta’s D to hone in on Henry, and although Henry is clearly capable of ripping off chunk gains, I think it’ll be tough sledding for him on SNF.
