It took some time for Tom Brady to fully mesh with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season. There were early growing pains, and head coach Bruce Arians wasn't shy about voicing his frustrations when he thought the quarterback's play wasn't good enough. Then Brady and the Bucs found their groove to end the year and eventually won the Super Bowl in commanding fashion.

Brady's claim as the GOAT couldn't be stronger. And yet he's still not getting the respect he deserves.

Chris Simms ranked Brady at only No. 10 on his list of the top-40 QBs. A top-10 spot is nothing to scoff at, but for arguably the greatest signal-caller to ever play, the placement looks silly.

Brady finished the 2020 regular seasons with 4,633 yards and 40 TDs, both of which were top-three marks across the entire league. The one knock on him was interception struggles, as he threw 12 picks in his first season with the Bucs, but that's not enough to push down this far in the rankings.

The QB now has a full season and offseason's worth of chemistry with his teammates that could fix some of the turnover problems he had last year. And Tampa Bay retaining all of their key offensive weapons means Brady will have no shortage of options to do some serious damage with this season.

Simms not considering Brady as a top-five QB will look foolish by the end of 2021.
