The Minnesota Vikings enter the 2020 season with the most question marks on the defensive side of the ball than Mike Zimmer has ever had to deal with. They cleaned house at cornerback and saw long-time sack artist Everson Griffen leave, but Vikings fans can breathe a little easier knowing their team will still have Danielle Hunter wreaking havoc.

After five seasons with the club, while being the starter for three of them, Hunter has developed into one of the most feared players by offensive linemen, but this insane stat shows he is being underrated by most other people.

Over the past two seasons, Hunter has totaled 29 sacks, with an equal 14.5 total in each season, ranking third overall during this span. Of the top 50 players in sacks over the past two seasons, Hunter ranks first in tackles, second in pressures, second in tackles-for-loss, third in quarterback hits and fifth in pressure rate.

He has totaled 142 tackles, 36 tackles-for-loss and 41 quarterback hits. While he has benefited from playing opposite of Griffen, Hunter's performance should not be discounted or overlooked, like it often is.

EA Sports' "Madden NFL 21" released their ratings recently, with the tune of much criticism. Hunter did not rank in the top 10 pass rushers in the league. Instead, he received an 89 overall rating, ranking him tied for the eighth-best rating among defensive ends.
