Today’s Best Late Slate NFL Props in Summary

  • Packers-Lions Over 52.5 Points (-115)
  • Jaylen Waddle Anytime Touchdown (+190)

The NFL doesn’t end with the 1:00 ET slate of games. The NFL's late-afternoon Sunday slate offers a smaller group of games, but that does not mean there is a shortage of appealing betting opportunities.

Using our NFL projections as a guide, here are some NFL player props and betting picks we like for today’s late slate.

NFL Picks, Prop Bets for Today’s Late Slate

Jaylen Waddle Anytime Touchdown (+190)

Broncos at Cardinals — 4:05 p.m. ET

Any Time Touchdown Scorer

Jaylen Waddle hasn't posted quality touchdown numbers since joining the Denver Broncos, but his underlying role suggests more scores could be coming.

Waddle owns a 21.5% target share and a 24.1% target rate per route run while accounting for 35.1% of Denver's air yards. He has also drawn four red-zone targets through five games, and Denver has made a concerted effort to manufacture opportunities for him with five designed targets.

The biggest selling point is the matchup. The Arizona Cardinals have allowed 10 receiving touchdowns to wide receivers through six games, the second-most in the NFL. Opposing wideouts are averaging 1.7 touchdowns per game against Arizona.

Waddle has scored only once this season, but that modest touchdown total helps explain why we're getting +190 odds.

With a solid target share, meaningful air-yard involvement, and arguably the best wide-receiver TD matchup on the slate, this looks like a good spot for some positive touchdown regression

Packers-Lions Over 52.5 Points (-115)

If you're searching for points, the NFC North showdown between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions stands out.

Detroit is averaging 32.8 points and 393.8 total yards per game, with its passing attack producing 279.6 yards per contest. The Lions have been especially productive at Ford Field, where they've averaged 31.0 points through their first two home games.

The problem for Detroit is a defense that has made shootouts almost unavoidable. The Lions are surrendering 29.6 points and an NFL-high 404.4 total yards per game. They've been particularly vulnerable through the air, giving up 297.4 passing yards per game.

That weakness lines up nicely for Green Bay. While the Packers haven't been an explosive scoring offense overall, they're throwing for 269.3 yards per game, giving them a path to keeping pace if Detroit pushes this game into the 30s. They also might get Josh Jacobs back this week, and Jacobs could provide a lift to a Packers ground game that’s been awful thus far.

With Detroit's offense averaging nearly 33 points per game and its defense struggling to prevent opponents from moving the ball, this divisional matchup has the ingredients for a shootout. A tight spread (3.0) helps, too, as both offenses should have to keep their foot on the gas.

Tucker Kraft Over 49.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

Packers at Lions, 4:25 p.m. ET

Tucker Kraft - Receiving Yds

Tucker Kraft Over
Oct 25 8:26pm UTCMore odds in Sportsbook

Tucker Kraft hasn't produced monster receiving numbers every week, but his matchup with the Lions is difficult to ignore.

Kraft has drawn a 16.7% target share this season and owns a 21% target-per-route rate. His 1.41 yards per route run isn't an elite figure, but his underlying involvement has improved recently, with at least five receptions in three straight games and seven-plus targets in three of his past four.

Detroit has been by far the NFL's most favorable matchup for tight ends. Opposing tight ends have amassed 545 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in only five games against the Lions, equating to 109.0 receiving yards per game. No other defense has surrendered more receiving yards or touchdowns to the position.

That weakness also meshes well with the Packers‘ pass-heavy style. The Packers have thrown at one of the league's higher rates, and this game carries one of Week 7's biggest totals (52.5).
