The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the many teams dealing with a new quarterback situation ahead of the 2022 NFL season. Gone are the days of Ben Roethlisberger as the 'Black and Yellow' look to replace him with a combination of Mitchell Trubisky and Kenny Pickett.

As optimistic as some Steelers fans might be, some might be scratching their heads after checking out their signal-callers' review on NFL analyst Chris Simms' 2022 QB power rankings.

Chris Simms QB Power Rankings 2022

On one hand, Steelers fans are probably pumped that Trubisky has come in at the No. 27 spot despite being a backup in Buffalo last year. On the other, it's likely tough to see Pickett ranked near the bottom at No. 39.

The former second overall pick in 2017, Trubisky needs to take advantage of the opportunity that Pittsburgh has given him. He has 10,0652 passing yards and 64 touchdowns to 38 interceptions in 57 games played (50 starts). If he can limit the turnovers and play with above-average accuracy, the Steelers have a shot at being competitive.

Meanwhile, Pickett was listed as the most NFL-ready QB in the 2022 draft, so it really is surprising to see him ranked near the bottom. Still, he has the potential to become something special and if he starts putting things together early on, Simms may regret his rankings.

The bright side is that both QBs have a great chance to succeed. The Steelers have given them weapons, such as Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool and Najee Harris, so there really isn't an excuse to be non-productive next season.

Steelers Super Bowl Odds

It's going to take a miracle from either Trubisky or Pickett if the Steelers hope to sniff championship success in 2022. Pittsburgh has just +8000 odds (T-No. 23) to win Super Bowl LVII, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
