Odell Beckham Jr. Injury Update Boosts Van Jefferson Fantasy Outlook in Week 13

Updated (Sunday, Dec. 5, 2:50 p.m. EST): Odell Beckham Jr. is officially active for Week 13. Both Beckham and Van Jefferson should be viewed as high upside WR3 options against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Just two games into his Los Angeles Rams career and Odell Beckham Jr. is already dealing with the injury bug.

His latest latest injury update (hip) is leaving fantasy managers unsure of what to do with OBJ come Sunday morning.

#Rams WR Odell Beckham Jr. did not practice yesterday with a hip injury, and his status for Sunday is now up in the air, source said. He was limited Wednesday, but DNP Thursday. It’s not considered a major issue, but some questions for this week about his availability.

Beckham missed Thursday practice with this hip injury, and now his Week 13 status is officially up in the air, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

This update not only clouds OBJ's fantasy outlook, but provides a potential boost for another receiver on the Rams roster: Van Jefferson.

Van Jefferson Fantasy Outlook

All three of Los Angeles' receiving weapons finished Week 12 with top-13 numbers, although OBJ led the way at WR9 after a 5-catch, 81-yard and 1-touchdown performance.

Kupp is a clear-cut No. 1 fantasy WR, so we'll focus on Jefferson in this update.

Jefferson has the ability to finish as a WR1 or WR2 candidate thanks to Jacksonville's league-worst pass-defense DVOA metric. If OBJ is unable to go, that vacates the 8 targets he's seen over his first two games in Los Angeles and gives Jefferson huge WR1 upside heading into Sunday.
