Michael Pittman Jr. was widely considered one of the most polished, NFL-ready wide receivers in the loaded 2020 NFL Draft. Thankfully for fantasy managers, he was drafted by a team that should give him an opportunity to prove it right away.

Set to play in the Indianapolis Colts' offense, Pittman offers some sneaky, under-the-radar upside in the 2020 season.

Pittman was reportedly taking first-team reps with T.Y. Hilton sidelined earlier in training camp. He was also reportedly looking good on those reps, suggesting he has a real chance to carve out a significant role.

Though Hilton is firmly entrenched atop the pecking order in Indianapolis, Pittman only has to beat out Parris Campbell to crack the team's top-two wide receivers. At the very least, it seems like Pittman is going to be the team's No. 3 wideout.

That makes him an intriguing option in deeper or DFS leagues this week. Facing the Jacksonville Jaguars' defense (No. 24 in Football Outsiders' pass defense DVOA), Indianapolis' offense could be in for a good week.

He's not a name that needs to be rostered in most leagues quite yet, but Pittman is certainly someone to keep an eye on. A talented rookie with a quietly easy path to significant volume, don't be surprised if he's one of the league's hottest waiver wire targets by this time next week.
