Miami Dolphins running back Myles Gaskin will reportedly miss the team's next three weeks due to a sprained MCL. This muddles things in the team's backfield pretty significantly, especially after Miami added running back DeAndre Washington at the Trade Deadline.

Still, Matt Breida is probably looking at the biggest uptick in value while Gaskin is sidelined.

Matt Breida Fantasy Outlook

Assuming Breida does indeed serve as Miami's lead back, he'll likely be on the RB2 radar as long as Gaskin is on the shelf.

Breida hasn't been particularly efficient playing in a reserve role this season, turning 37 attempts into 128 yards (3.5 yards per carry). He has been much more effective on limited opportunities in as a pass-catcher, though, racking up 79 yards on just 8 targets and 7 catches (11.3 yards per reception).

Since becoming the full-time starter in Week 3, Gaskin was averaging 21.6 opportunities (16.8 carries plus 4.8 targets) per game. If Breida is set to soak up the lion's share of those chances, he'll instantly become a really valuable asset – especially with relatively soft upcoming matchups against the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Chargers.

This news instantly makes Breida one of the top waiver wire adds of the week, and he's a must-add for Gaskin managers as well.
