On Monday, it was reported that Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal's draft stock had plummeted due to injury concerns. While some inside the top-10 of the 2022 NFL Draft are concerned about his health, that isn't the case for the New York Giants, who will be drafting fifth and seventh overall.
The NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday that the Giants drafting Neal is a "possibility" and that the team doesn't have "any real medical concerns" about the versatile offensive lineman.

Garafolo added that even though there might be an early team that thinks Neal has some medical concerns, the Giants aren't worried considering how the 21-year-old didn't have much of an injury history at Alabama.
"You've got Neal, a guy who never missed anything at Alabama, didn't miss any practices and never had a surgery. My understanding is that there's really not a medical concern, at least on the part of the Giants.- Mike Garafolo
Neal would look right on the opposite side of starting left tackle Andrew Thomas. The Crimson Tide product is coming off a season that saw him earn consensus All-American and first-team All-SEC honors and is someone that could become an All-Pro talent under the right circumstances.
Furthermore, Neal has only allowed 24 pressures and four sacks over the last two seasons, which is the type of help that the Giants need after giving up 131 sacks since quarterback Daniel Jones was drafted in 2019 — tied for the 10th most during that span.
We'll know what teams think of Neal in just a few days. The 2022 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 28, live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
