The Los Angeles Chargers' wide receiving corps just cannot stay healthy right now. It was banged up last week and will remain that way this week as Keenan Allen is not expected to play against the Denver Broncos. He has been dealing with a lingering hamstring injury for the last two weeks.
Keenan Allen Fantasy Outlook
Allen was only able to play in 36% of the offensive snaps last week and ended up hauling in just 1 of his 3 targets for 17 yards. It was clear that he was not fully healthy and he missed most of practice again this week. Even if he does end up suiting up, he would remain on a limited snap count.
Losing Allen in fantasy football this week is a crushing blow. The Chargers' No. 1 receiver is averaging 7.1 catches for 70.9 yards per game and has tied a career-high in touchdowns with 8 this season. The team will now look to Mike Williams to lead the pack on Sunday.
Mike Williams Fantasy Outlook
Williams has had an up-and-down season as he has had 70-plus receiving yards and a touchdown in three games this season, but has also been held under 30 yards five times this season. However, he should be quarterback Justin Herbert's top option in the passing game this week.
He draws a decent matchup going up against a banged-up Broncos' secondary this week. Plus, he had one of his best games of the season the last time these two teams met back in Week 8 (5 catches, 99 yards, 1 touchdown). Williams has FLEX potential this week and could end up being a sneaky good play.
